West End Centre Queens Road Aldershot GU11 3JD | Venue Cap. 180 | Website

The West End Centre has been known as a music venue since the mid 80’s when the likes of Blur, PJ Harvey and The Stone Roses came to play. Since then artists including Frank Turner, The 1975, Foals, Mallory Knox, Songhoy Blues, and Biffy Clyro have graced the stage. Shows at the venue in 2017 include Frank Iero, The Skints, The Temperance Movement, The Xcerts, Tigercub, Neon Waltz, Inheaven, Scott Matthews, The Blockheads, Muncie Girls, Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) and Green Gartside (Scritti Politti), Soeur, Rascalton and Husky Loops, as well as a host of acclaimed folk and blues from Chris Wood to Holy Moly and The Crackers. The West End Centre also runs classes and workshops, stages acclaimed comedy and burlesque, works with various community groups, is part of the house theatre network and is one of the key players in Rushmoor Arts Hub.

The music scene in the Aldershot area has always been strong. Many bands have ‘grown up’ and begun their careers at the West End Centre, from Hundred Reasons, Reuben and Mega City Four to the current crop of exciting new talent including Hannah Lou Clark, Annabel Allum, Twin Wild, Parachute For Gordo, and Dead State. We mentor young bands and run advice sessions for young people looking to make their way in the industry. We serve a catchment area of 700,000 people and are part of Hampshire Cultural Trust.
