Belfast, Oh Yeah Music Centre

The Oh Yeah music centre is a former bonded whiskey warehouse in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter, Belfast’s cultural district.

Since 2007, its hosted live events with the likes of Elbow, The Undertones, Gary Lightbody, Ash, Two Door Cinema Club, Lisa Hannigan, Georgie Fame, Wilko Johnson and Bastille.

The Oh Yeah vision was born in December 2005, from a conversation between Belfast music industry people and the band Snow Patrol. We have staged events for the Ulster Bank Festival at Queens, The Open House Festival, The Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival, the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival and Outburst.

Their mission statement is: “Open Doors To Music Potential”.  Providing affordable rehearsal space and a venue that is amendable to under 18s. Oh Yeah was presented with a Belfast Telegraph ‘Making the Difference’ Award in 2012 and was shortlisted in the NME’s ‘Best Small Venue Awards’ in 2011. Oh Yeah has co-ordinated the award-winning Belfast Music Week, on behalf of Belfast City Council, 2011-13.
