The first season of Independent Venue Speak is at the
halfway point – listen today!
We’re halfway through our inaugural season of Independent Venue Speak in partnership with See Tickets. Over the past six episodes, we’ve had the pleasure of sharing stories from iconic venues such as Arlene’s Grocery (New York, NY), 9:30 Club (Washington, DC), The Fire (Philadelphia, PA),Wave (Witchita, KS), The Camel (Richmond, VA), and The Crocodile (Seattle, WA). Featuring guest hosts such as Bartees Strange, Schoolly D, Grieves, and more, the podcast captures the unique connection between artists and the spaces that helped them establish themselves. Join the celebration today, by tuning in.
The UK Wraps Up #IVW22
Our UK counterparts just wrapped up their ninth Independent Venue Week, featuring more than 485 events in 210 venues. Including tours from national and regional ambassadors, SOAK, Wet Leg, James Bay, Moshi Mosi, and more, #IVW22 was the glorious return to live events that the UK craved. It makes us all the more excited to celebrate #IVW22 here in the US in July.
Special Thank You to See Tickets
Our mission at Independent Venue Week is to celebrate the spirit of independence. Over the past two years, See Tickets has made massive contributions to our community and to our cause. Their dedication to keeping the spaces we hold most dear is felt in every aspect of what we do; from their partnership on Independent Venue Week on both sides of the Atlantic to supporting the Independent Venue Speak podcast from its genesis. Thank you, See Tickets, for your vocal support of the independents.
